Lecturers of the summer school are leading scientists, theorists and practitioners in the field of physical, economic, social geography, psychologists, representatives of state structures and institutions, travelers, and famous personalities. The Summer school program is designed to widen personal, professional and business ties it provides an opportunity for presentation and promotion of personal projects, participation in joint projects and gives a boost for new ideas. Moreover, students of the Summer school learn how the social order influences the development of science. They discuss top issues of geography and geo-ecology, learn how to organize scientific research and get practical skills of presentations, discussions and debates. Participants learn about the latest discoveries in geography and have a unique opportunity to meet with popular lecturers, outstanding researchers, and famous travelers. Parents are encouraged to attend the camp participating as much or as little as they like.The summer school of the Russian Geographical Society is a place for exchange of experience and knowledge about the current state of geographical science between young specialists and leading scientists, helping them take part in research and social activities. Workshops on being proud of who we are, body acceptance, communication skills, and conflict resolution will help establish an atmosphere of caring about each other’s feelings and positive relationships. There will be special activities best done clothesfree such as a slip-n-slide with paint, tie dye, water balloon throwing, gooey games, and a 10 foot ice cream sundae with as much landing on bodies as in mouths. Children aged 4-17 and their families will experience a fun week of growth and community emphasizing interpersonal relations skills, learning, and creativity in a natural environment.Īs usual we will have a fun-filled day playing in the sand and surf at a clothing-optional ocean beach, a camp variety show, crafts, nature exploration, canoeing and kayaking, non-competitive sports, producing a claymation video, campfires, and lots of pool time, with individual attention for each camper.
